West Coast - Milion Dollar Homes
Houses
On Phuket’s Stunningly Beautiful West Coast
Here is the focus of the
island’s new million-dollar housing boom
In the past seven years a property boom has taken place on Phuket’s west
coast. Kick-started by the opening of the pioneering, combined
hotel/residential development, The Amanpuri, numerous other projects tucked
away on remote headlands and in the steep hills have been completed or have
begun construction.
In ten years’ time the topography of the west coast will be changed forever.
For Phuket has now firmly entered the era of the Million Dollar Home.
Leading this revolution are a visionary group of developers who believe the
time is right for ultra-modern, ultra-luxurious and ultra-expensive private
housing on the island. From Nai Thon to Kata, demand for these palatial
properties is showing no sign of abating.
Property on the west coast is increasingly being snapped up by business
people based in Asia - Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore – who view
Phuket as an ideal base from which to run their businesses. As well as a
dream home with stunning views of the Andaman, Phuket also offers them great
weather, great beaches, friendly people and world-class flight connections,
schools and services. Alongside this increase in permanent residential
development, the template for the traditional holiday home is also being
refined to offer high quality, low-density property with expertly managed
rental services and attached facilities.
The style of home on offer, in most cases, is contemporary Thai with Western
facilities. Most places are sold off plan, meaning that buyers get to
discuss specifications before building commences. Environmental
considerations are taken very seriously and natural features are left in
place as much as possible – this often means that trees are replanted and
rock formations built around. A high degree of privacy should also be
expected with the exclusive price tag.
So, if you can afford between 1 and 4 Million US dollars, there is currently
a lot to choose from (see Property Listing) – but be sure to move quickly,
dreams are selling fast.
