Phuket's Only Zoo
Small,
but an interesting little zoo
See some of the regions
endangered wildlife
Unfortunately, almost all of the regions’
once-plentiful wildlife is now endangered
Here your kids cat pat a tiger, wonder at a variety of other native
species, and hopefully learn something about the disappearing wildlife of
the tropical rainforests
Phuket’s
only zoo is small, and while not at all impressive in size, it is quite
attractive. It has something of the feel of a home zoo, which it began as.
It is situated on the Southeast corner of the island, just off Chao Fa Road,
which runs from Phuket to Chalong. About midday along this road there is a
3-way intersection, with one of the few traffic lights here. The zoo is just
down the left turn-off. There are signposts at the intersections, making it
quite east to find.
