The Laguna Phuket Golf Club Course The Golf Club Course in Banyan Tree Phuket bears the mark of world-class designer Max Wexler and suits any level of golfing ability. Lagoons, coconut groves and long, wavy fairways can all be found on the 18-hole course. A driving range, putting greens, chipping areas and practice bunkers can also be found among the facilities. Horseback Riding If you enjoy horseback riding as a recreational activity, the wonderful trails through the golf course and the pearl-white beaches of Bang Tao are ideal for such a pastime. Elephant Trekking An uncommon sight in Phuket in the past, elephants have become a normal occurrence in the present day’s tourism industry. The once in a lifetime experience of riding one of these slow, gentle giants can be booked from any hotel desk on any day and the tour will take you along Bang Tao Beach.
Yoga Lessons If you want to complete your vacation experience in Phuket with yoga classes, you have several options. The Shiv Yoga and Ayurveda Centre offers private and family yoga classes in which they teach dynamic breathing techniques nad postures. The famous Phuket centre is based in the Boat Lagoon Marina, with a recent branch also opened in the Bang Tao Beach area. Note, however, that advanced booking is recommended. Camp Laguna Children aged 8 to 18 who are interested in fun indoor and outdoor activities, challenging themselves and making new friends can visit Camp Laguna. Spread across seven acres near the Laguna Beach Resort, the camp offers half or full-day programmes in January, April, August, October and December. Activities range from rock-climbing and abseiling on a 15-metre three-sided tower, high ropes courses, Ultimate Frisbee, Capture the Flag, arts and crafts and even environmental activities such as orienteering. While Camp Laguna serves the five hotels of the Laguna complex, children from anywhere are able to join, provided they are registered at the hotel tour desk upon arrival. Wall Climbing If you’re looking for something extraordinary, definitely go to Quest, inside the Laguna complex. The activities programmes offered by the centre for its guests include a 15-metre high tower, as well as high rope and low rope courses for those looking for adrenaline-pumping challenges.
